Welcome to Rockin Robbins Chihuahuas!
We are a state licensed kennel that only raises chihuahuas. We are located in Neosho, MO (about 20 minutes from Joplin). We raise smooth and long coat chihuahuas in a variety of colors. I only sell to individuals and qualified breeders who I feel are an asset to the chihuauha breed. I DO NOT sell to brokers, pet stores, or puppy mills (legal or not), because of this we often have older chihuahua puppies for sale as well as young adults.
We are not your typical "breeder". Our dogs are very much loved and enjoyed by the entire family. Our adults are housed in a climate controlled building right next to our home. Our dogs are not caged (except while nursing pups). Each indoor area (6' x 5') has a doggie dog to allow access to the large (35' x 7') outdoor run. Each area houses 3-4 dogs. Our dogs are not on a feeding schedule - they have access to food and water 24/7. They are ALL loved on and played with at least twice daily. They are very social dogs.
When my moms are getting close to their whelping date, they are moved in to the house. They remain in the house for at least 2 weeks after birthing. When the mother is ready to start weaning the puppies, they are moved back to the kennel in a whelping pen so that the mother can be outside for longer periods of time. When the puppies are fully weaned, they are moved into the puppy kennel which is attached to our home. Of course with 4 kids, they aren't actually in the kennel much as they much prefer to run around the house!
My puppies never leave before 9 weeks old, although it is generally 12-14 weeks, prehaps longer for the tiny ones. I do this for several reasons: 1. Parvo is very common in this area and ALL puppies must have at least 2 sets of puppy shots before leaving. 2. I do not rush weaning my puppies. They all wean at a differant pace and will not be taken away from their mothers until they are ready. 3. I keep every puppy a minimum of 2 weeks after being fully weaned to watch for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). 4. Chihuahuas are very fragile, especially as puppies and must be monitered closely. (Between my husband and I, the dogs are never alone for more than a couple of hours.)
My puppies are very healthy and well socialized. All puppies come with a 1 year health guarantee. Unless otherwise stated, all puppies also come with registration papers and spay/neuter reimbursement. I can also spay/neuter your new pet prior to leaving as well as microchip him/her. I do ship my puppies. I can ship through American Airlines for $275($325 for 2 puppies. Must both be younger than 6 months old) which includes health certificate, rabies shot, and crate. I also offer ground shipping through Puppy Express (www.puppyexpressdelivery.com) to select areas for $250 (Each additional puppy to the same buyer is $100) which includes health certificate and rabies shot. I do not ship puppies priced under $100, so if the puppy you want is less than $100, the puppy's price would be $100 + shipping.
